DESCRIPTION
Chemist I/II, Medicinal Chemistry
San Diego start-up looking for part-time or temporary medicinal chemist (20-30 hours/week) to assist in lead-seeking analog efforts. The position is based in La Jolla, CA.
REQUIREMENTS:
MS/PhD candidates preferred. A background in small molecule drug discovery is highly desirable. The candidate will be responsible for synthesis, purification and characterization of novel analogs for the biological evaluation. Experience in multistep organic synthesis of heterocyclic compounds from mg to multi gram quantity, knowledge of purification and analytical methods such as column chromatography, HPLC, LC-MS and NMR will be a plus.
