DESCRIPTION
The Cardiovascular and Metabolism Disease Area (CVM-DA) is recruiting BS/MS level scientists with cell biology experience to support efforts in beta cell regeneration.
We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with experience in cell biology to apply their knowledge to the isolation and culture of primary cells in order to identify new diabetes therapies.A BS/MS in biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology, or a related field.
A minimum of three years of laboratory experience in an industrial or academic setting.
Expertise in the cell culture with experience with the culture of primary cells or beta cell lines preferred.
Experience in characterizing the response of cells using multiwell techniques to measure cell viability, stress responses, and gene expression.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines in the face of multiple and competing demands.
