DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be part of an expanding Medicinal Chemistry group, with responsibilities including (but not limited to) the synthesis and purification of novel compounds for potential clinical development. The candidate will work in a team to develop, implement, and perform organic reactions for ongoing Medicinal Chemistry teams. This individual will contribute to the development of potential drug candidates. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of structural determination using NMR and Mass Spectral techniques with knowledge of purification methods (e.g. HPLC). Additional responsibilities include maintaining laboratory notebooks and computer files as well as participating in group and project meetings and attending seminars.

REQUIREMENTS:
- A BS or MS in Chemistry with an emphasis in Organic Chemistry
- Four or more years of relevant organic chemistry laboratory experience gained through academic and/or industry.
- Skilled in analytical techniques including NMR, HPLC and Mass Spectrometry
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting analytical data
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Basic laboratory and computer skills
