Overview:







Position Summary



Work with the business units personnel in the development and support of the company's business processes and strategies in the Sales and Marketing area. SFA/Data Steward will conduct analyses of functional business process and functional requirements and participate in the development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects. The SFA/Data Steward will also be required to manage projects with varying degrees of complexity. Act as a point person with accountability for data quality as it relates to account, customer and sales data. The SFA/Data Steward works with Sales Operations Business Analytics to define analytical requirements that support the business activities of the field sales, sales operations and marketing organizations.



Responsibilities:







Manages the quality of account, customer and sales data to ensure it meets functional business needs, monitoring performance expectation and prioritization of production jobs and supporting data delivery from production systems.



Accountable for manual customer resolution of account and customer transactions rejected during normal validation processing through use of a Web tool specific for review and administration of data.



Responsible for vendor compliance with regard to Standard Operating Procedures and business rules regarding data integrity.



Acts as point of contact for SFA, Analytics and other 3rd party vendors for production control, data feeds and escalation of data quality issues.



Responsibilities include analysis, recommendation and project management of data quality and data coordination improvements through potential enhancements to, or replacement of, existing systems that support the Sales and Marketing organization.







Consult with functional business owners and 3rd party vendors to identify and document business needs and objectives, operational procedures and issues, data input and output requirements, data scope, system usage, data formatting, and security requirements.























Qualifications:








8 plus years extensive related training/experience in a business, scientific or technical discipline. Use and application of pharmaceutical sales/marketing information, pharmaceutical sales operations. Project management/coordination experience surrounding business application development and use of production information systems. Familiarity with leading Pharma and other leading software and CRM applications (preferred Siebel experience) utilized in the pharmaceutical industry.





Computer literacy, strong knowledge of MS Office (MS Project, Excel and Access). Query and analysis tool experience desirable.





Travel Requirements
