O.C. Eye Care Firm Alcon, Inc. (ACL) Expands, Adds Jobs

Alcon, an international eye care and medical device firm with offices in Irvine and Aliso Viejo, is expanding into the old Western Digital headquarters in Lake Forest, a company spokesman said. The company, which has been in Orange County since 1989, already has nearly 1,300 workers here, including 1,100 at its manufacturing and R&D facility in Irvine at 15800 Alton Parkway. "We're outgrowing it," said Dave Jackson, a spokesman for Alcon, which is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
