Dimera Inc., a company that develops therapies for cardiac disease in women, is on the brink. The Portland-based business has invested $10 million and 11 years of research into developing a topical progesterone cream to alleviate chest pain in women with cardiac disease -- a therapy that also holds promise for preventing cardiac disease in post-menopausal women.
